article by Kevin Loria in the Business Insider in May 2023 shows that there are twelve benefits of spending time outdoors for human health. The author mentioned that according to a book, “The Nature Fix: Why Nature Makes Us Happier, Healthier, and More Creative”, humans need to spent time in the natural environment if they want to improve their physical and mental health. Spending time outdoors with nature can improve our short-term memory, reduce stress and inflammation, eliminate what its called ‘mental fatique, improve the ability to focus, boost our performance and creativities as well as help us to fight depression and anxiety. Furthermore, the author explains how nature gives benefits to humans health in a various way such as protec humans vision, reduce the risk of developing myopia and lowers the blood pressure. In addition, the author showed the benefits we can get from forest. There are preliminary studies that suggest spending time in nature, especially in the forest, may help humans’ body stimulates production of anti-cancer proteins. A 2010 review of research suggests that forests environment have advantages to improve humans immune system. Finally, all of these benefits, according to the author, explain how outdoors time is associated with a lower overall risk of early death.
